Free e-text books at Ohio State: Open source textbooks next?

Some professors at Ohio State are offering their own e-textbooks and other online material for free–saving their students big bucks. A lesson for the publishing industry if it can’t control prices? What’s next? Could open source textbooks suck many millions out of the business, especially as e-book technology improves ? Many in academia might see that as A Good Thing.
