Going to google.fr does not give you an advantage if you don’t know the french name of your ingredients. and if you know it, you can use google.com and get about the same result. Now, the important thing is to replace “recipe” by “recette”.

Slow news day at WaPo?
I’ve been using Google for quite awhile for recipes to supplement my cookbook collection. I’d also try the search with the singular—recipe. And, if you don’t want to fuss with all the results you’ll get, Cooks.com is a decent place to find a wide variety of recipes.
