Google’s been baaaaad, so HarperCollins will lock up its books on its own server and in time sell to consumers on a pay-per-view basis. “The material won’t be downloadable, and authors will participate in the proceeds.” As if e-books aren’t hard enough to use already. Up with sales, down with sadism!
