OpenReader format in official FBReader plans for version 0.7.5

By David Rothman

FBReaderRoger Sperberg, a TeleBlog regular who in another incarnation was a production staffer for Random House, swears by FBReader for his Nokia 770.

Now the people behind the linux-oriented FBReader are officially planning for OpenReader-format books to be readable in the linux software’s version 0.7.5. More FBReader info here, including existing format list. Also ahead is support for the Archos PMA 430, OEB, nonDRMed Mobipocket and CHM.

  1. [...] FBReader 0.7.3c with OpenZaurus support FBReader, the open-source e-book reader originally written for the Sharp Zaurus, has been updated. Version 0.7.3c adds support for OpenZaurus/GPE and fixes two problems related to switching to full screen mode and to the Nokia 770 not always properly closing the application. Download the new version from here and read more about future plans for FBReader here (also check out David’s write up). __________________ Misha [...]

I have bought recently archos pma 430. It does not come with a decent book reader! Can you tell me which bit of your software to download to work on the pma 430. I am a bit confused about FBreader software relevant to me!
    Thanks.
