‘Manga and the Sony Reader: A Review’

By David Rothman

Manga on Sony Reader“Personally, I would prefer if the pages were a little darker, or had a bit more black in them. Because of the screen size, it seems that the Reader would be better suited for hard black images with high-contrast, thicker lines. However, this didn’t diminish the manga reading experience for me.” – Tony Salvaggio in Comic Book Resources.

  1. I would like to see them publish manga ebooks such that you could change the text through a setting between English and the original text/art, sort of like the subtitle button on the DVD player.. If it’s gonna be on a digital device why not add something more compelling than a reprint of the paper copy? (^_^)

  2. Well, that’s Sony for you. Not the most innovative bunch these days (other than the use of E Ink). – David
