Write a guest essay for the TeleBlog—anonymously if need be, just so we can vet it

By David Rothman

MasksAs an experiment, the TeleBlog is accepting anonymous essays by readers, as long as they are accurate, fair and lively. Use the subject line “TeleBlog essay” in your email.

We’re Usenet not. One of the glories of the Net is that much can be vetted with some creative Googling around. Allowing anonymous contributions is one way to broaden our range of contributors. If dreck results, however, we’ll end the experiment.

Needless to say, we’re even keener on signed essays from guest contributors. It’s just that certain people in publishing, the library world or high-tech may be shy, and this is one way for them to test the TeleBlog waters before committing further.

Anonymous essays will carry the generic byline of “A TeleBlog reader.”
