Mobpocket still down: Back today?

By David Rothman

MobipocketNo word from Mobipocket, but the scuttlebutt is that the problem-plagued site will indeed return today (via Mobilepocket forum). Guys, it would help to be more communicative. Instead of a static placeholder page, you should publish daily updates.

“Don’t you love DRM?” department: My latest Mobi woe is that the old version on my DT 375 Win CE tablet apparently won’t work with the OverDrive DRM server used by the Fairfax County Public Library. I’ll see if a newer version for that machine is now available.

  1. Back today (August 24), afternoon time. For those who have been trying to unlock DRM and Mobpocket-based ebooks during the whole week, hurry, before the server goes down again.
