Book People list ending; new list starting on digitization issues

By David Rothman

Jon NoringSad. Jon Noring has the details via his eBook Community list. Kudos to John Mark Ockerbloom for the many hours he devoted to Book People; luckily the archives will remain online. Meanwhile Jon’s starting The Digital Text Community list—for “serious discussion of digitizing ‘ink-on-paper’ publications.”

  1. serious discussion

I am glad to see Jon starting something he has never done before, and wish him good luck with this new endeavour.

  2. Thanks Branko!

I look forward to seeing you and David Rothman subscribe and contribute to the discussion. In just a few hours, we already have a good start, including a number of folk from various digitization efforts (there’s a lot more going on than just Project Gutenberg and Distributed Proofreaders.)
