PDF Cropper: A way to read normal-sized PDFs on the Sony Reader and other small-screened machines? Wowio potential?

By David Rothman

earlyworksofdrseuss Although PDF Cropper looks interesting, I haven’t tested it. I might do so over the weekend. Share your impressions if you try it out yourself. A solution for PDF-fat Wowio books, among other things?

Now playing at Wowio, so to speak: The Early Works of Dr. Seuss. A gem for new XO owners and their kids? And, yes, folks, I continue to be frustrated that Wowio’s offerings aren’t globally available.

(PDF Cropper discovered via a comment at Dear Author. You might need to scroll up or down to reach the PDF Cropper-related info.)

  1. The PDF ebooks are 48MB and 31MB. Yet another reason why you should buy a 8 gig SDHC for your XO laptop.

  2. These Dr. Suess books are fascinating, but not suitable for children unfortunately. They provide early sketches he did for various commercial gigs. Amusing, interesting, but not child-friendly. However, Wowio has a lot of shorter (and smaller) PDFs more suitable for children.
