Poll> Did your Kindle screen break? Answer either way
[poll id="43"]
Help us compare Kindle and Cybook screen failure rates.
Perspective: Keep in mind that the Cybook is a slimmer device than the Kindle. So there may be a trade-off.
Related: Info on our Cybook poll, which we urge you to take if you own one and haven’t already. Be fair to Bookeen. Participate whether or not you’ve had a problem.

Argh, I accidently voted incorrectly on this poll – I have a Kindle but the screen is fine. That’s what I get for multi-tasking badly
Is there a way to remove one vote for broken and add it to ‘fine’ ?

Trace, thanks for being so conscientious. I need to go somewhere but will see if I can’t make the tweak later tonight or tomorrow. If I can’t, I’ll note your effort to be accurate (and fair to Amazon!). Thanks again. David
Addendum, 7:58 p.m.: Just made the change. You’re all set.

My screen is just fine, and I’ve been fairly rough on it (accidentally putting it at the bottom of a box with about 30 pounds of papers and magazines on top of it, dropping it a couple times, etc).

I carry my Kindle nude in the small pocket of a Pájaro fanny pack. I had some pill bottles in one of the pockets and allowed the seat belt of the car to cross outside the case, which may have dented the screen. In any event, it quit and Amazon replaced it. I now carry the Kindle in a case and changed the pocket stuff around so nothing hard is able to press on the screen.

I keep my Kindle protected with a cover made by M-Edge. Available in a variety of colors, the M-Edge covers are attractive and fit securely.

The Screen is fine, but there is a crack in the lower right corner of the white plastic where it fell out of the flimsy case that came with it and hit the ground.

I have owned a Kindle since 1/23/08. My screen has not broken and I have no other problems.

I am in Australia, my wifes screen Kindle screen has turned up it’s toes and will no power up. Can someone please tell me where I could get another screen?, The U.S. would be OK as they would be cheaper there.
Allan.
