I have an eBook reader, but it's not a Kindle. In fact, I've had it for a few years now and haven't thought twice about a Kindle, though as an author I have books available in both print and Kindle format.

I think it's more because the big NY pubs are getting into eBooks now, like Harlequin. Before only small presses produced the combination of eBooks and print books. eBooks are cheaper to produce, cheaper to purchase. I can buy two or three eBooks for the price of a print book from quality publishers who produce quality products. These are royalty paying experienced and professional publishing houses.

These days I only buy print books if the book I want isn't available in eBook format.

It would be nice to know how much of the boost is Kindle editions. I would guess the Kindle is driving a LOT of this.
