Random House: 8,000 e-books to jump to almost 15,000 in months
From 8,000 e-books, Random House is to go to almost 15,000 in just months. The Kindle’s popularity has helped spur on Random at a time when p-book sales are disappointing many publishers. Via online browsing, excerpts will be viewable.
Among the titles newly in E will be works by John Updike and mystery writer Harlan Coben (photo—CC-licensed by Mark Coggins) , plus some books within the Magic Treehouse series for children.
Detail: All Random titles will be available in ePub. At both production and consumer levels? Let’s hope!

You’re supposed to give a photo credit, even though it’s available under Creative Commons. No wonder you guys have so much trouble with DRM!

Mark, we try to. The current photo looked like a routine publicity shot intended to be spread around without anyone caring. My goof. Added credit with a link to your Flickr page. Meanwhile best of luck with your fiction. Thanks. David
Addendum: Care to write a defense of DRM for publication on our site? I myself have trouble with DRM—as a sales toxin for writers.
