This won’t work as an e-book

By Paul Biba

ALeqM5gsrm09W2KfFMZ2fLvvL-m3EB1z6A.jpgHow about a 62 pound book that sells for $100,000. That’s what the New York Public Library just took possession of. The book depicts the life and work of Michelangelo and was published in Italy. The book is bound in velvet and marble from Michelangelo’s favorite quarry in Carrara. The book was donated to the Library and more than 20 copies have been sold. You can find an article about the book here.

No matter how good e-books get I don’t think they can ever effectively simulate a combination of marble and velvet binding.

  1. The Tungsten T3 with it’s sliding metal case, on-the-fly resizable screen and leather cover I think is even better. Michaelangelo would have liked it too.
