Soft Skull Press to crank up massive e-book effort?

By David Rothman

imageIs Soft Skull Press, the edgy New York publisher, about to crank up big for e-books? It’s reportedly aiming at both the Kindle and Sony markets—with hundreds of titles expected in the next four weeks. And according to Mike Cane, iPhone books also may come soon. Bravo! I miss the downloadable Soft Skull freebies from Wowio.

The iPhone should be an especially good fit, given its appeal as an e-book reader for many young people with eyes suited to the small screen. Best of luck to Richard Nash and his colleagues at Soft Skull.

One Response to “Soft Skull Press to crank up massive e-book effort?”

  1. Richard Nash just posted an interesting comment about how they plan to deal with the not having the (well-designed) physical book in the hands of e-readers at The Urban Elitist. Sounds like they’ve got a master plan. If anybody can do this right, they can, I bet.
