While I don&#039;t personally disagree, and would love to flip the switch to enable the TTS support in Digital Editions, unfortunately the lawyers believe differently.  And ultimately this is decided by lawyers.</description>

		<description>The Microsoft Reader software has had text to speech for years and no one ever made a peep about it. I know Amazon is higher profile, but who could honestly expect TTS to replace a human audio recording. People who like audio books, shop for audio books. They are not going to get the ebook and have it mechanically read to them. Sometimes I hit the TTS button by mistake on the MS reader, and my husband and I laugh our heads off. We call it &quot;as read by Stephen Hawking.&quot; Who could stand to listen to it for more than half a page?</description>
