I couldn't disagree with this more. I read about 2 hours a day on my Kindle - some days as much as 5 or 6 hours. I used the K1 for almost a year, and now the K2 since Feb. 25. I actually prefer the K2 text itself, to say nothing of the better hardware and interface.

Re: Kindle 2 reading comfort

I haven't used a Kindle 1, but I can definitely say that the K2 font is a bit light and that I definitely preferred the Cybook's emboldened text.

Shades of PRS 505 vs 700 maybe?
What if e-ink depends on some kind of "primitive" feel?

I certainly like the layout of the K2 better from a hardware standpoint and the tighter line spacing, but the fonts definitely seem different somehow. I don't know if it's a difference in the thickness of the font or they are using a lighter shade for the standard font, but I don't find it as easy to read as the K1, Sony or iLiad. I'm actually sending mine back for that reason.
