Although I do not like DRM, at least with my Sony I have a choice and I can choose to buy the newest DRMed James Patterson novel at the Sony bookstore or at a bookstore that sells DRMed ePub versions. With the JetBook, I'd be stuck. If ETACO doesn't carefully explain this to prospective buyers, it could do more harm than good for ebooks. I can confirm that the upcoming update will NOT do DRMed Mobi and NOT do DRMed ePub. If you are philosophically opposed to DRM and have the skillz, it could be worthwhile. Doesn't require desktop software. eBooks are dragged and dropped. That means will work with PC, Mac or Linux. Newegg and Fry’s both vary the price and sometimes it’s on sale like that.
