No Shelf Required’s Sue Polanka interviews Paul
By Paul Biba
Yesterday Sue Polanka did a 15 minute interview with me for her blog. It was fun and Sue seems to be an exceptionally nice person.
I asked her to do some articles for us from the librarians’ point of view. Librarians have some very different problems with ebooks, DRM, etc. than consumers have. For example, library patrons do not object to DRM because they are trained to expect that their book will “expire”. And how about this: licensing restrictions from publishers are a real problem with ebooks. The book is licensed to one user - so how, then, to you make an ebook part of your inter-library loan program? Hopefully this little mention, and her picture, will coerce her into joining our little crew.
At any rate you can find the interview here, and Sue’s blog here.
