Good roundup on ebook reading devices at Computex

By Paul Biba

e-ink-info-logo.jpgE-Ink-Info has been doing a great job of rounding up the new devices being shown in Taiwan. I suggest you go over and take a look. They have embedded some interesting videos. So far:

The IAC Prodigy is a e-book reader that supports 4 types of connectivity: Wi-Fi, CDMA/EVDO, WCDMA/HSPA and WiMax.

A demo video by Pixel Qi showing their dual-mode display - LCD and ePaper in one display…

Netronix is showing some new E Ink book readers at Computex. There are several devices, ranging from 5″ to 9.7″ (using the same display as the Kindle DX). The 6″ device comes with wireless and touchscreen…

LG are showing new ePaper technology, with a flexible 11.5″ prototype. The display is also a touchscreen. We don’t have a lot of info yet, beside this photo.

  1. The Netronix 10-incher looks really interesting. Hopefully somebody (Bookeen? Barnes&Noble?) will bring it to NorthAm…
The 5 incher looks interesting but surprisingly bulky and plasticky…
