		<description>If most colleges stopped pouring money down that rat hole know as sports, they would have an excess of funds and would not be constantly cutting back on the classes they offer, or things like supplies for the various departments. I&#039;m sure that somewhere in America there must be one college that actually makes money on sports programs, but I have yet to see or hear about it. And most of the arguments I have heard from the sports boosters claiming that these programs do indeed pay for themselves -- I can&#039;t say what I think of such statements in polite company.

Oh, and don&#039;t get me started about the textbook racket and the price gouging. OK, I&#039;ll get off my soapbox now :-)</description>

		<description>Once again, I must say, if this is successful, it will be a tragedy because textbooks should be provided free of charge by all educational institutions.  We already pay taxes and tuition for education.  Why should we pay again for books?
