Vampire-loving Kindle thief wreaks havoc on PBS guy’s book recs

By David Rothman

imageThe person who stole my Kindle downloaded 2 diet books, the entire Twighlight vampire series and Flyy Girl. A teen girl thief?” tweets Mark Glaser, host at PBS’s Media Shift.

Gawler’s Valleywag  picked up the news and joked that the thief had ruined Glaser’s “Amazon recommendations for the next 18 months.”

More seriously, I’d hope that Amazon would show mercy toward owners of stolen units. I don’t like the idea of Amazon being able to zap books on people’s Kindles, but as long as that capability exists, can’t Jeff and friends use it to help Glaser? I suspect they already can. Anyone know for sure?
