Ebooks to appear in New Zealand soon

According to Beattie’s Book Blog, Copyright Licensing, Ltd. will be digitizing New Zealand books and making them available on ebook readers, smartphones, the iPhone and Android phones. More than 300 books have been submitted by 30 publishers and the company will be looking to get rights from other New Zealand authors.
According to Martin Taylor, who will be managing the new venture, one of the hopes is that by digitizing the books it will encourage Sony and Asus, among others, to enter the New Zealand market.
I wonder if these books will be available to readers outside New Zealand. I certainly would be interested in looking at the catalog.

Me, too, Paul! Maybe Martin’s efforts will lead to the discovery of a New Zealand equivalent of My Brilliant Career.

And of the more than 300 ebooks, 299 will be about sheep and the rest will complain that the New Zealand All Blacks lost the 1995 Rugby World Cup because someone poisoned their food.
Um … you probably need to be an Aussie or Kiwi to get it.
