By Paul Biba

harvard-yenching_03.jpgThe 51,500 volume Harvard-Yenching Library’s collection of Chinese rare books will be digitized in this collaboration, say the Harvard Gazette. The project will take 6 years to complete and will cover books from 960 AD to 1795. The imaging will be done by the staff of the Widener library and the article indicates that new equipment has been designed just for the project. The collection includes topics on history, philosophy, drama, belles letters and classics.
