OLPC develops pedal power source for laptop – reading without a mains connection

OLPC Afghanistan has developed a pedal powered machine that can charge the OLPC as it is running. According to the article it can be used easily by 3rd or 4th graders. Eventually, it is hoped, a smaller version will be developed that can be carried around and placed on the floor with rubber pads.

I would like this as an option on my computer at work. I could get a lot more exercise this way!
