Kindle is #1 seller, says the Amazon earnings report

Screen shot 2009-10-24 at 6.28.06 PMSomehow I missed this.  In Amazon’s latest earnings report, dated October 22, They said that the Kindle has become the #1 selling item not only in the electronics store, but across all product categories.  It is also the most gifted and wished for product.

The report said that the Kindle store has over 360,000 books including 101 of the 112 NY Times bestsellers and more than 7,000 blogs and 90 US and international newspapers. Over 60,000 audiobooks are available.
