Soap Bubbles II: David F. talks to soap expert Delores Boone on the glories of making your own
Do-it-yourself soap can be cheaper and easier on your body, especially if you have chemical sensitivities. That's what Delores Boone, author of Hand Crafted Soap, told David Faucheux tonight. Check out the audio of his interview with her. Wednesday, July 14, 2004
Soap bubbles and pipe dreams
Hobbies: Most people have them and think nothing of them. It's something they do to relax: quilting, sewing, macramé, spinning, candle making, pottery, wood working, speed walking, ballroom dancing, canoeing, crocheting, cross stitching, knitting, rug hooking, choral singing, sculpting, photography, collage, cake decorating, painting, basketry, chair caning, playing a musical instrument, swimming, or even travel to name a few. I am still on the lookout for an avocation.

The Sound of a Miracle: A Child's Triumph over Autism, by Annabel Stehli
The Sound of a Miracle by Annabel Stehli is the touching story of a mother's determination and love for her autistic daughter. She perseveres until she finds help, not the blame she has experienced with traditional mental health professionals, but a different approach pioneered by Dr. Guy Bernard. I am reminded of other stories where the parents did not give up: A Miracle to Believe In or another book, A Boy Called Hopeless.
