Video description: A 'must'

this is an audio post - click to play

In the audio portion of this blog, I explained a little about video description. I can't say enough about how important it is and how it can make movies and television become so much more accessible. I rarely watch television or attend a movie. I feel it's a poor investment for the time and in the case of movies the money involved. Having audio descriptions supplied during pauses in dialog makes it possible for me to gain far more from my viewing/listening experience and to feel like I am a member of society able to participate-should I so choose-in the water cooler discussions of popular programs such as "The Apprentice" or "CSI".

Consider contacting your members of Congress if you have a visual impairment or learning disability or know someone with either. Let's make a positive change in information accessibility!

Thank you.
