Wiki model can help reform Congress, says Larry Lessig

By David Rothman

lessig_forehead_thumb “The Change Congress project hopes that citizens will track congressional candidates’ positions on these issues by reporting on them at the web site. The project will then map these results onto a Google map.” - Sarah Lai Stirland, Wired blog network, discussing Stanford law Prof. Larry Lessig’s new project.

The TeleRead take: I just hope that there’ll be enough get-out-the-vote efforts and other real-world organizing to complement the cyber efforts.

Meanwhile keep in mind one of the most corrupt areas of lawmaking—the copyright-related variety, which led to joys like the current DMCA and copyright term extension (sarcasm alert), all of strong interest to Larry Lessig.
