Question:
I am going to admit my ignorance here. Can someone name an internet other than "the Internet" or a web other than "the Web"? I can't think of one.

And if there is an internet other than "the Internet", then shouldn't we call "the Internet" something else?

I long ago learned to leave style to the professionals. I guess the question is whether it should be technology professionals or editing professionals!
