eReader to be free at iPhone App Store

By David Rothman

ereader2Good news! Yes, as expected, eReader will be free at the iPhone App Store, which opens tomorrow. Be interesting to see if Mobipocket is also there and free.

To the left is a non-iPhone version of eReader.

A tip—to those hoping for more details: Do manual download of iTunes 7.7. Use "iphone" without quotes in the search, and you’ll see an Apps pane (thanks, Mike).

Update, 11:39 a.m.: You can preview songs and videos in iTunes. Why not apps, in jkOnTheRun.

(eReader info spotted in a post to the Fictionwise list by Jay Hartman of Knowbetter.com.)

  1. Have it installed now and was able to pull down a book from my library without any problem. Just a few fonts and sizes to choose from and I don’t see any themes just yet. Then again, I’m giddy with the new 2.0 firmware and may have overlooked the setting. Auto-rotate works great. Swipe to page flip. Very nice so far!
